Details: She has much in common with Chief Justice John Roberts: Both are natives of Indiana; both clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist; both became leading lights of the Supreme Court bar as deputy solicitor general and in private practice. She is a Republican, but her views are largely unknown, which concerns conservatives. They also worry about her successful defense of the University of Michigan Law School's racial preferences policy. The same factors might make her confirmable.
