Dems Find Electoral Safety Behind A Wall Of Blue
Over the past 16 years, Democrats have tightened their grip on 18 states worth 248 electoral votes. That doesn't bode well for Republicans.
Eighteen states have now voted for the Democratic nominee in at least the past five presidential elections. The last time Democrats won that many states so consistently was from 1932 to 1948 when Franklin Roosevelt and Harry Truman were the nominees.
