Wade Henderson is no political bomb thrower. Yet Henderson, who heads the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights, the nation's largest civil- and human-rights advocacy coalition, was so distraught over the Senate's recent confirmation of Leslie Southwick to a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit that he did something unusual.
