Here are the 76 Senate votes and 78 House votes on which National Journal's 2008 vote ratings are based. The Congressional Record roll-call number is linked to the full roll call on the house.gov and senate.gov Web sites. It is followed by the bill number, which is linked to bill summary on the Library of Congress's thomas.gov site. The weight column shows the prevailing side -- conservative (C) or liberal (L) -- and the weight given to each (from 1 for the lowest to 3 for the highest) based on how closely the vote fits the overall pattern.
