NATO has captured a senior leader Haqqani terror network in Afghanistan, the Associated Press reported.
Haji Mali Khan was captured on Tuesday in the Jani Khel district of Paktia province. It was the most significant capture of a Haqqani leader, according to the AP.
Haqqani is affiliated with the Taliban and al-Qaida and is said to be a top security threat in Afghanistan. The group is blamed for a 20-hour-long seige of the U.S. embassy and NATO headquarters in Kabul last month.
