Report: Two U.S. Troops Dead in Afghan Attack

Ten people were killed in a suicide bomb attack in northern Afghanistan Wednesday, including two U.S. troops, the Associated Press reported.

The bomber was riding a motorcycle when he detonated the bomb near the gate of a park in in Maimanah. A senior U.S. defense official told the Associated Press that two U.S. soldiers were killed. NATO reported that three of its service members were killed in the attack, but did not give information on the nationalities of the three.

Afghan officials said at least six Afghans, including four police officers, also were killed in the attack.
