A man in an Afghan army uniform killed a NATO soldier on Sunday, AFP reports, bringing the total number of foreign soldiers killed by Afghans this year to 19 in 13 different attacks.

"An individual wearing an Afghan National Army uniform turned his weapon against coalition service members in southern Afghanistan today, killing one service member," NATO'S International Security Assistance Force told AFP, adding that the gunman was killed by coalition forces shortly after.

This is the third such incident in two weeks. Just more than a week ago four people -- including an American soldier and two Afghan troops -- were killed by an Afghan special forces soldier, and that same day, two Afghan policemen opened fire on U.S. troops.
