The Central Intelligence Agency's website was unresponsive on Friday after the hacker group Anonymous took responsiblity for taking the site down.
"#Anonymous takes down main CIA website cia.gov; site is still down," said a tweet from @YourAnonNews, an account that claims to be affiliated with the so-called hacktivist group.
CIA spokeswoman Jennifer Youngblood said the agency was looking into the reports of problems with the agency's publicly-accessible website, which remained down as of 6:25 p.m. Youngblood declined to comment on the claims of Anonymous.
