ABC NEWS/WASHINGTON POST
The Economy

The ABC News/Washington Post Consumer Comfort Index, conducted by ICR, represents a rolling average based on telephone interviews with about 1,000 adults nationwide each month. This week's results are based on 1,000 interviews in the month ending October 15, 2006, and have an error margin of +/-3%. Subsample A: conducted 10/4-15/06; surveyed 500 adults; margin of error +/-4.5% (release, 10/17).
