The 218 Year History of the House Energy and Commerce Committee

The Energy and Commerce Committee is the oldest standing legislative committee in the House of Representatives. It also has one of the widest reaching influence, overseeing the progress in agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency and Federal Communications Commission.
