During a speech to FL business people this week, ex-FL Gov. Jeb Bush (R) "said he isn't thinking of running for national office," and "isn't interested" in being John McCain's running mate. Bush: "I don't have any burning ambitions." Meanwhile, Bush "took a swipe" at FL's alligators, telling the audience how he "repeatedly vetoed spending state money to market alligator meat." Bush: "Alligators proliferate in Florida. They eat small dogs. We don't need to market them, we need to kill them" (AP, 4/24).
