KENTUCKY 02 (R/BOWLING GREEN -- LEWIS)

Things Never Really Got Haire-y

Tue. May 6, 2008

Last night's debate between state Sen. David Boswell (D) and Daviess Co. Judge-Exec. Reid Haire (D) was "civil, and their responses focused on aiding the middle class and getting" the fed govt's "house in order." In the nearly 30-min debate, Boswell and Haire "did try to separate themselves by highlighting their experience in local and state" gov't.

Boswell: "The 31 years of collective experience that I have gathered through the years, I think, is a key component in this election. The experience -- having the ability to hit the ground running as an effective legislator."

Haire: "I work to provide new solutions to old problems. As a result, I believe I have the right combination of experience, understanding and vision to represent the citizens of the 2nd District" (Green, Louisville Courier-Journal, 5/6).
