More KYans "are registered to vote than ever before in KY. 2,857,231 citizens will appear on KY's voter rolls. There were 2,795,231 registered to vote in the '07 primary. Sec/State Trey Grayson (R): "While I am disappointed that Kentucky did not see dramatically increased registration figures as was seen in many other states this election cycle, I am encouraged Kentucky has set a new voter registration record" (Gleaner, Evansville Courier and Press, 5/2).
