Rep. James Lankford (R) is leading former state House Speaker T.W. Shannon (R) in a new poll ahead of the Oklahoma Republican Senate primary, according to a News9/Newson 6 poll. "The poll, taken June 19-21, shows Lankford with 43.4 percent and Shannon with 34.9 percent, with 13.3 percent of likely Republican voters still undecided."
Candidates need to get at least 50% of the vote to avoid a runoff. (News 9)
SCF WEIGHS IN: Outside groups are spending as much as hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to influence the race, including more than $150,000 in recently purchased TV air time from the Senate Conservatives Fund.
