The Environmental Protection Agency's planned "listening tour" to solicit feedback on the agency's rules to limit carbon emissions from existing power plants has ground to a halt because of the government shutdown, The Hill reports.

According to the EPA website, the first two stops set to take place in Boston and Philadelphia on the 11-city tour have been postponed. The agency promises, however, that they will be rescheduled once the shutdown has ended.
