Memorial Speakers Span Political Spectrum

Current and former senators from both sides of the aisle will join family members and friends in honoring the late Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., at a private memorial service at the John F. Kennedy Library tonight in Boston. Vice President Biden, Sens. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, John Kerry, D-Mass., and John McCain, R-Ariz., will all speak, joining former Rep. Joe Kennedy, D-Mass., the son of the late Sen. Robert Kennedy, D-N.Y.; Caroline Kennedy, daughter of the late President John Kennedy; former Sen. John Culver, D-Iowa; Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick; Paul Kirk, the chairman of the JFK Library and a former Democratic National Committee chairman; Rev. Gerry Creedon and Nick Littlefield, a former aide.
