Former Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, has joined the International Advisory Board at FleishmanHillard, adding to an already packed portfolio for Hutchison, who served nearly 20 years in the Senate.
Since leaving Congress in January, Hutchison has become a senior counsel at Bracewell & Giuliani and a member of Bank of America's Global Advisory Council, the Center for Strategic and International Studies Advisory Council, and the Campaign to Fix the Debt Congressional Fiscal Leadership Council.
FleishmanHillard's International Advisory Board, which includes former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, retired Gen. Barry McCaffrey, and former New York Times President and CEO Janet Robinson, provides direct counsel to the firm's clients.
Laura Kaloi has joined the public-relations firm Washington Partners as a vice president. She was most recently public-policy director in the Washington office of the National Center for Learning Disabilities, a position she held for 13 years.
Earlier in her career, Kaloi was director of public affairs for the American Health Quality Association and communications director for Health Insight. She also was a legislative assistant to then-Rep. James Hansen, R-Utah.
Janet Janjigian, an Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist, has been named managing director of Carmen Group West, the Los Angeles-based office of Carmen Group. A former senior vice president for corporate communications at MGM Studios, Janjigian was most recently president of DC Media Group LA.
Apart from a broad array of California-based health care companies, Janjigian's clients have included Accenture, Arts+Labs, Weinstein, Entertainment Studios, and the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.
