Trade. Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus is to deliver remarks at a dinner Thursday night for South Korea’s president, Lee Myung-bak, who is visiting Washington this week, hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The Bush administration has negotiated a free trade agreement with South Korea, but it has been held up in a dispute over U.S. beef imports and other issues. Baucus plans to address the relationship between the U.S. and South Korea and call for cooperation in trade relations.
