Congressional leaders failed to reach a deal today on financial aid for U.S. automakers, prompting Speaker Pelosi to make plans to bring the House back in December, sources familiar with the talks said today. Aides said that while the calendar was not firm, it appeared likely that the House would be in session during the second week of December, when some lawmakers were already scheduled to be in town for an economic summit.
