Poll: Syria as a Moral Dilemma

September 13, 2013

Four in 10 Americans say the United States has a duty to punish governments that use poison gas on civilians, as Syria is alleged to have done. Those Americans are more likely to support military action against Syria, but almost a third—28 percent—say that the U.S. should do nothing in response.
