Isakson To Seek Re-Election To Senate, Won't Run For Governor
Georgia. Republican Sen. Johnny Isakson told his staff today that he has decided to seek re-election and not run for governor in 2010, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported. "Johnny loves serving in the U.S. Senate, and he thinks this presidential election -- no matter who wins -- will be one of the most important in the country's history," Joan Kirchner, Isakson's deputy chief of staff said. "And in the next administration, the U.S. Senate will be where all the action is."
