Scalise Formally Becomes Member Of The House

House. Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., took his oath of office this morning, reducing the number of House vacancies to just one. Scalise replaces Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who resigned from the House after winning the governorship. Scalise followed by a day newly elected Democratic Rep. Don Cazayoux, also of Louisiana, who was sworn in Tuesday.
