Dodd, Reid Agree To Flood Amendments
Banking. Senate Banking Chairman Christopher Dodd today said he and Senate Majority Leader Reid have reached an agreement that would allow amendments related to flood insurance to be debated and voted on today. Dodd said he is still seeking time agreements for the amendments. Sen. David Vitter, R-La., said on the Senate floor that it was imperative amendments championed by him and other senators from Louisiana and Mississippi receive floor consideration, but most of those measures are expected to fail. Vitter said he and his fellow Gulf Coast senators whittled their list of amendments to six or seven.
