Bingaman Endorses Obama

Tue. Apr. 29, 2008

Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., endorsed the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., Monday.

“I am announcing my support for Barack Obama for president and declaring my intention to vote for him at the Democratic convention,” Bingaman said in a release.

Bingaman said he believes Obama is a better choice than Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., on issues such as the Iraq war, health care and improving energy independence.
