Pearce Launches Attacks Against Wilson Over Votes
Rep. Steve Pearce, R-N.M., began running two ads this week targeting his Republican rival in the race for the seat held by Sen. Pete Domenici, R-N.M., the Albuquerque Journal reported.
In the TV ad, Pearce said he opposed the proposed expansion of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, which was ultimately vetoed. His GOP foe, Rep. Heather Wilson, supported the expansion.
A Pearce radio ad attacks Wilson for missing a recent House vote on a measure involving illegal immigration.
Wilson said Pearce’s ads were “disappointing and inaccurate.”
