Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has chosen Pat Toomey, R-Pa., and Rob Portman, R-Ohio, to serve on the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction.
Toomey and Portman will join Senator Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., whose selection was reported by National Journal earlier today.
Also today, National Journal reported that House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, has selected Republican Reps. Jeb Hensarling, Texas, Dave Camp, Mich., and Fred Upton, Mich.
Hensarling will serve as co-chair, along with Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., who was appointed yesterday.
