Republicans' New Fundraising Magnet: Justin Timberlake

Justin Timberlake can help you tell your political challengers bye, bye, bye.

At least that's the hope of three Republican congressmen who are hosting fundraisers at JT's D.C. show, part of his "20/20 Experience" world tour, at the Verizon Center on Feb. 24.

New York's Michael Grimm, North Carolina's Richard Hudson, and Georgia's Tom Price will all be holding fundraisers at the concert, according to invitations obtained by the Sunlight Foundation. But don't get too excited: The spots aren't cheap. As National Journal's Sarah Mimms reported last month, the Price fundraiser costs $1,500 for a single ticket. Hudson's fundraiser is a bit cheaper, with an asking price of $1,000 per ticket.

The Grimm event organizers don't list a ticket price in the informal invitation Sunlight posted. But the event should be a nice reprieve for the representative, who has already spent much of this year trying to move past media attention over his threats to break a reporter in half and throw him off a balcony. Grimm's also under federal investigation for campaign finance issues. If there's one member of Congress who could use Timberlake's help to get a little sexy back, it's Grimm.
