Senate Democrats will announce legislation on Tuesday that would invalidate Arizona's controversial immigration law if the Supreme Court upholds it later this year, The Washington Post reports.
The effort, led by Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., comes as the high court hears oral arguments on the case this week.
Democrats hope the legislation, unlikely to pass, sends a clear message to Latino voters, an increasingly important voting bloc in the 2012 presidential elections.
