Capitol Visitors Center Reopened; Police on Lookout for Massachusetts Car

Law enforcement authorities in Washington Friday morning confirmed there has been an alert put out for the area – including Capitol Hill -- for a 1999 Gray Honda CRV with Massachusetts license plates.

Officials would not immediately elaborate, or indicate if the alert might be related to events in Boston and the ongoing manhunt for one of the suspected Marathon bombers.

Meanwhile, in an apparent unrelated event, U.S. Capitol Police have reopened the Capitol Visitors Center after it was briefly evacuated due to reports of a suspicious package. That report was investigated and the package was found to be harmless. The Capitol and congressional office buildings remained open.
