K Street is ready to unleash its lame duck campaign blitz.
The Business Roundtable will be launching its all-out fiscal cliff campaign on Tuesday, urging the Hill and administration to avert the fiscal cliff.
The entirely Beltway-focused campaign runs "well into six figures" according to BRT's Tita Freeman, and will focus on pushing lawmakers toward bipartisanship to address the country's fiscal challenges.
The campaign will run throughout the time Congress is in session, but will be highly visible for a period of five weeks. It includes print ads and radio spots appearing on outlets such as Wall Street Journal, Politico, WTOP and NPR.
BRT will also be pushing online ads and promoted Tweets to drive traffic to more than a dozen Web videos of CEOs talking about the need to address the fiscal cliff and long-term tax and entitlement reform.
Members of Congress will also be receiving letters from BRT this week.
