New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie continued to play down speculation that he would be Mitt Romney’s running mate, saying he’s “not really” interested in a vice presidential post. But he did not close the door completely in an appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation.
“If Gov. Romney were to talk to me about it, I’d listen,” but, he said, “bet on me being the governor of New Jersey next year.”
Christie, who has endorsed Romney, also said that if Romney doesn’t win Michigan on Tuesday, while unlikely, there is a possibility of a contested convention.
