Mitt Romney’s digital director will be leading an invitation-only postmortem to talk about what worked and what didn’t work for the Republicans in the presidential election.

For a lot of Republicans, what didn’t work is the fact that their candidate lost. Whether it’s justified or not, digital director Zac Moffatt has come in for a disproportionate share of heat among Republicans unhappy about the result.

On Dec. 6, Moffatt and Republican National Committee digital-strategy director Tyler Brown will have a chance to explain themselves and their strategy before an audience of leading Republican digital practitioners at an RNC event at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington.

“As far as I know the Romney website didn’t crash. That worked,” said a GOP insider with knowledge of the process. “All kidding aside,” he said, “I hope this isn’t just an effort to hold hands and sing 'Kumbaya,' and keep doing the things that haven’t been working. If people are honest, this is going to be a pretty hard meeting for the people hosting it.”
