Upton, Conyers Beat Back Primary Challenges

House Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton easily beat back a challenge in Tuesday's primary election in Michigan to secure the GOP nomination to the House. House Judiciary ranking member John Conyers also easily prevailed over four challengers in the Democratic primary despite running in a redrawn Detroit area district.
