Senate To Vote On FCC Nominees On Monday

The Senate will vote on Monday on two nominees to the Federal Communications Commission, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's office confirmed on Thursday.

Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., who is GOP nominee Ajit Pai's home state representative, first tweeted about the vote on Wednesday.

Pai and former Senate Commerce Committee aide Jessica Rosenworcel have been waiting for months for Senate confirmation.

Last week Sen. Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, dropped his hold on the nominees. Since last year Grassley had blocked the vote over the FCC's handling of LightSquared's plans to build a nationwide wireless network.
