A grand jury is investigating the possibility that smart-phone apps illegally grabbed and transmitted information about users without properly disclosing, the Wall Street Journal says, citing an anonymous source.

Google may have been foiled, but now lots of folks want to digitize the world's books, the New York Times reports...
