Today's Influence Ads: Fix the Debt Continues Ad Blitz

The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget has another new ad today, pushing its Fix the Debt campaign and calling on Congress to pick a battle over the national debt.

The familiar red kettles that accompany the Salvation Army bell ringers this season have found a way to Capitol Hill -- on the pages of the Hill papers, in two new ads out Friday from the charity.

"When you put money in our kettle, expect change," reads one spot.

In other new ads, the Open Society Policy Center promotes investing in AIDS research and treatment, and Cambodia's Children's Hospitals Kantha Bopha asks for support for their health industry.

Those with returning ads, per Kantar Media's Washington Eye, include: the American Healthcare Association, the Coalition for Fiscal and National Security, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, Hologic, McDonald's and WTOP-Radio.
