Today's Influence Ads: American Hospital Association Pushes Against Medicare Cuts

The American Hospital Association's new ad Tuesday calls on Congress to look beyond Medicare and Medicaid for spending cuts in its negotiations, citing money slashed from both budgets under the Affordable Care Act.

The National Association of Letter Carriers, on the other hand, is already looking ahead to next year. Their latest ad calls on Congress to act on postal reform in the new year, since the 112th Congress was unsuccessful on that front.

In other new ads, the National Association of Manufacturers highlighted jobs created by manufacturing, Capital One touted its commitment to investing in community and Siemens promoted its work on a light rail system in Charlotte, N.C.

Those with returning ads, per Kantar Media's Washington Eye, include: AARP, the American Healthcare Association, the Association of American Medical Colleges, BP, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, Fight Fraud First!, Goldman Sachs, MEADS International, the National Association of Realtors, United Healthcare, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, WETA-TV, Whirlpool and WTOP-Radio.
