New Hires at Microsoft, National Quality Forum
Rebecca Mark will join Microsoft as manager of government affairs, the corporation announced Monday.
Mark, who worked most recently for the Glen Echo Group, also served as an aide to Reps. Kevin Brady, R-Texas, and Candice Miller, R-Mich. She worked as an online adviser for the National Republican Congressional Committee during the 2010 election cycle.
Dr. Christine Cassel will take over as president and CEO of the National Quality Forum, the health care nonprofit announced Monday.
Cassel, who formerly served as president and CEO of the American Board of Internal Medicine, will begin her position with NQF by mid-summer 2013. She has also served as president of the American Federation for Aging Research and the American College of Physicians.
R&R Partners also announced they have acquired Weeks&Co, a political and corporate positioning firm based in Austin, Texas. David M. Weeks and Suzanne Hofmann Erickson will join the R&R Team as president and vice president of their Texas team, respectively.
Weeks, who cofounded Weeks&Co thirty one years ago, has worked on high profile campaigns in the region, including Gov. Rick Perry, R-Texas, and Gov. Brian Sandoval, R-Nevada.
Erickson brings 20 years of experience in government affairs and public relations to the firm.
