Job Moves: New Conaway Comm Director

Sen. Pat Toomey press secretary Rebecca Neal is headed to the lower chamber. Neal will be the new communications director for Texas Republican Rep. Mike Conaway. Today is Neal’s last day with Toomey, a Pennsylvania Republican.

The Internet Association has brought on Gina Grandinetti Woodworth as vice president of public Policy and government affairs. She most recently served as senior director of federal government affairs for the Entertainment Software Association. Prior to that, she was staff director on the Senate High Tech Task Force. 

Julian Hammar has joined Covington & Burling’s corporate, securities, and energy regulation groups as special counsel. Hammar, former assistant general counsel at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, will advise the firm's clients on implementing the Dodd-Frank Act. He has been with the CFTC for 13 years, where he helped draft regulations required by Dodd-Frank.

Matt Meenan started this week at the Aluminum Association as communications director. Meenan was previously vice president at public affairs firm Xenophon Strategies.
