Fiscal Cliff Haikus To Get You Through the Lame Duck
I started my day with a mission: to wax poetic about politics. Thus, #FiscalCliffHaikus was born.
Seriously, is there a better way to wrap your brain around a potential congressional showdown, involving billions of dollars and many moving parts, than by writing a five-seven-five syllable poem? I say no.
Many of you channeled your inner poets, offering up haikus encapsulating many of the dynamics and positions in the fiscal cliff debate. In came the prose from reporters, staffers, influencers and political junkies. (I'm still waiting on a congressman or senator to offer one up -- who wants to make history?).
