VoteVets' Final Push in Senate Races: $1.25M

With less than a week left until Election Day, liberal-leaning VoteVets Action Fund is pouring $1.25 million worth of ad buys into three states.

So far, VoteVets Action Fund has spent $6.5 million in 2012, according to the group.

With a potential surge for former Sen. Bob Kerrey, the group is spending $300,000 on an attack ad in Nebraska that criticizes Republican Deb Fischer for a land dispute lawsuit she filed against a neighbor.

The group is spending $200,000 in Ohio on a new ad in support of Democrat Sen. Sherrod Brown, touting his record on veterans' issues, such as the GI bill. The Hotline folks have Brown as leading Republican challenger, GOP Treasurer Josh Mandel.

And VoteVets is extending a previous Virginia buy by $750,000, in conjunction with the United Food and Commercial Workers. The spot blasts former Sen. George Allen, who is running in a tight race against Democrat, former Gov. Tim Kaine.
