Pelosi Sounds Off on Petraeus

Acting Central Intelligence Agency director Michael Morell visited the Hill today, including stopping by the office of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. When asked at a news conference about Gen. David Petraeus’ resignation over an affair with his biographer, Pelosi emphasized it was “a personal indiscretion,” and that “so for we do not believe it involves national security.

“Why somebody would be personally indiscreet is their own problem," she continued. "Why they would do it in email is beyond my imagination. But in any event, the honorable thing was done, the general has resigned. There are questions about timing just as a tradition to notify Congress before we see it on TV.”
