White House legislative adviser Rob Nabors and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner are meeting today with congressional leaders over the fiscal cliff, The Hill reports.

Former Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska is being vetted for a national security post in the administration, Foreign Policy reports.

Republican women in the House are pressing Speaker John Boehner for committee positions.
