K Street Fundraising For Sandy Victims

K Street and the financial services industry are coming together to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The Financial Services Forum will convene a Thursday fundraiser at The Homer Building, where the minimum donation runs $100 a person with proceeds going to the American Red Cross

The storm "hit our nation's financial center and the surrounding area, and you have thousands of people who have lost their homes, who are really suffering as a result of Hurricane Sandy, and so we wanted to give back," FSF President and CEO Rob Nichols tells the Alley.

Eighteen groups are involved, including the American Insurance Association, Consumer Bankers Association, American Bankers Association and American Financial Services Association
