Floyd Williams, the recently retired director of legislative affairs for the Internal Revenue Service, is joining Public Strategies Washington, the firm announced today. 

Williams will serve as senior tax counsel in the firm's tax policy practice after spending 16 years at the IRS where his duties included advising the IRS commissioner on legislative issues and serving as the top liaison to lawmakers and their staffs. 

He also served in both Democratic and Republican administrations and has 40 years of tax experience, according to PSW.
