If Sen. Claire McCaskill were a dog -- hang with us here -- what kind would she be?
If you ask the incumbent Democrat, she'd say: an underdog. Republican opponent Rep. Todd Akin would say one that has an affinity for playing fetch -- that is, fetching high taxes and regulations from Washington to bring back to Missouri.
But Akin spokesman Rick Tyler put it this way:
