Sen. Johnson Aide Joins Mercury/Clark & Weinstock

Mercury/Clark & Weinstock has hired a top aide to Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., to serve as the firm's vice president.

Alan Elias, a Johnson policy adviser who has also been with Republicans Sen. John McCain and former Sen. Norm Coleman, has been a Senate staffer for more than nine years. He worked for McCain on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Federal Financial Management.

lobbying shop and public affairs firm Mercury merged last year to form Mercury/Clark & Weinstock.
