Rubio's Daughter Home from Hospital

Republican Sen. Marco Rubio's daughter has returned home from Miami Children's Hospital after suffering a head injury in a golf cart accident Saturday, according to a statement issued by the senator's office.

Amanda Rubio, 12, is recuperating from a concussion and expected to make a full recovery, the statement said. She was a airlifted to the hospital Saturday after the golf cart she was riding in was in a collision in a private, gated community in Florida, according to local news reports. Additional details on the accident were not released. She was released from the hospital Sunday night.

In a statement issued by a spokesman, Alex Conant, Rubio and his wife said they were grateful for messages of support and to the Miami-Dade Fire Department and the staff at the Pediatric Trauma Center at Miami Children's Hospital.
