Public Knowledge's Brodsky Out

Art Brodsky, Public Knowledge's communications director for eight years, left the watchdog group in September and has not taken a new job, he confirmed to the Alley. He would not comment further on the circumstances surrounding his departure.

In Brodsky's absence, communications associate Bartees Cox has been manning the group's communications work, he tells the Alley in an email. Cox joined Public Knowledge in August after working as an intern at Free Press. Public Knowledge is now hiring a campaign and communications manager, a position that appears to be more junior than Brodsky's role as communications director.

Brodsky, whose bio can still be found on Public Knowledge's website, was the communications director for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration and for Qwest Communications International's D.C. office. He also spent 16 years at trade publication Communications Daily and is a former CQ editor.
