Elizabeth Warren is using the $12 million she raised in the last three months to wage a remarkably expensive Senate campaign in Massachusetts.
In Ohio, Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown and Republican challenger Josh Mandel raised big and spent more. Brown brought in $5.4 million and spent nearly $7 million, outpacing Mandel, who raised $4.5 million and spent about $5 million.
Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., who wowed campaign watchers by raising $5.8 million over three months, spent $1 million more to amass an almost 15 point lead in her reelection bid against GOP Rep. Todd Akin, according to an internal poll.
